17 States, UTs given citations for ‘excellent’ work in biz reforms

As many as 17 States and UTs have been recognised for his or her “excellent work” within the space of ‘ease of doing enterprise’ and have been offered Enterprise Reform Motion Plan (BRAP) 2022 citations by  the Commerce & Business Ministry on Thursday.

States and UTs offered the quotation included Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Odisha, Assam, Dadra & Nagar Haveli & Daman and Diu, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Punjab, Telangana and Uttrakhand, per a authorities notice.

The citations have been offered on the Convention of State Industries Ministers at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, Delhi.

The excellent work of States and UTs was recognised by the BRAP felicitation, celebrating their achievements in enhancing the Ease of Doing Enterprise, the notice acknowledged

 “The BRAP 2022 citations have been offered to 17 States, contemplating their extensive ambit of reforms. Many of the States have been in `aspirer class whereas solely Gujarat got here in quick movers class,” it added.

Addressing State business ministers and senior officers on the convention, Commerce & Business Minister Piyush Goyal urged that States ought to research finest practices and industrial insurance policies of different areas and accordingly body their respective coverage.

The Minister stated that States have to supply business-friendly surroundings, single window clearances and time-bound approval to draw investments and solely subsidies wouldn’t assist the business.
