ENGIE indicators PPA for 200 MW photo voltaic PV undertaking

ENGIE has signed an influence buy settlement (PPA) for a 200 megawatt (MW) photo voltaic photovoltaic (PV) undertaking, which is a part of Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL)‘s bigger undertaking encompassing 1,125 MW of grid-connected photo voltaic PV energy initiatives, to be established inside the Gujarat State Electrical energy Company’s Renewable Power Park at Khavda.

Bidding by GUVNL befell on February 2, 2024, with ENGIE securing 200 MW at a tariff of ₹2.62 per unit. GUVNL’s undertaking goals to fortify India’s renewable power capability and promote sustainable growth within the area, ENGIE stated on Friday.

The undertaking is ENGIE’s fourth photo voltaic undertaking in Gujarat.

ENGIE CEO and Nation Supervisor, India, Amit Jain stated: “The 200 MW photo voltaic PV undertaking below GUVNL’s solar energy initiative will tackle rising power calls for, scale back carbon emissions, and contribute to a greener future. Signing of this PPA marks a big success for ENGIE India, highlighting our dedication to sustainable power and India’s renewable power imaginative and prescient.”

The undertaking will take ENGIE’s complete capability in Gujarat to 830 MW. The corporate has a portfolio of two.3 GW capability, unfold throughout 19 initiatives.
