The Kolkata Excessive Court docket on Tuesday ordered a CBI investigation into the sexual assault and homicide of a girl post-graduate trainee (PGT) physician at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical Faculty and Hospital, on August 9.
The Court docket has requested the Kolkata Police at hand over all paperwork to the CBI instantly.
A protesting physician reacted to the information, “We’re very joyful and relieved that the case has been transferred to CBI. The accused shall be arrested quickly now…”
Kolkata HC’s transfer to switch the case to the central company has raised hopes of justice for protesters.
