JSW Metal will get possession of land for brand spanking new plant in Odisha

JSW Utkal Metal, a wholly-owned subsidiary of JSW Metal, has acquired the requisite 2,950.31 acres for establishing a greenfield built-in metal plant of 13.2 million tonnes in Odisha.

In 2022, the steelmaker introduced plans to arrange a metal plant in Odisha with an funding of ₹65,000 crore in a phased method. The corporate already owns substantial iron ore reserves within the State.

The land parcel, nearer to the Paradip port in Odisha, was as soon as earmarked for the Korean large Posco which had plans to arrange 12-mtpa metal plant.
