CJI agrees to contemplate itemizing plea by Vodafone-Thought to right computational errors in adjusted gross income dues

Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud on Monday agreed to contemplate itemizing a plea by Vodafone-Thought to right alleged errors within the computation of adjusted gross income (AGR) dues.

A healing petition towards the dismissal of earlier pleas searching for correction of alleged errors in AGR-related dues is but to be listed earlier than a Bench, the telecom service supplier (TSP) stated.

In July 2021, the apex courtroom, in an order, had stated what TSPs actually wished, below the guise of correcting “arithmetical errors”, was a recalculation of their adjusted gross revenues (AGR) working into crores.
