Container cargo price ₹300 crore broken in Thoothukudi floods

Container cargo price over ₹300 crore may have been broken as a result of incessant rain that pounded the Thoothukudi district on Sunday and Monday. Water logging was reported in container freight stations (CFS) and inland container depots (ICD) in Thoothukudi until Wednesday evening.

There are 16 CFSs and one ICD in Tuticorin with over 2,000 containers saved in these amenities. As well as, there are cargoes saved within the amenities for exports. The worst affected are the amenities positioned on the Harbour Specific Street, stated sources.
