Setty at present is the senior most Managing Director heading International Markets & Know-how, at India’s largest financial institution. SBI Chairman Dinesh Kumar Khara’s tenure ends in August 2024.
In addition to Setty (who has been MD since January 20, 2020), the Bureau interfaced with two candidates, each Managing Administrators – Ashwini Kumar Tewari (MD since January 28, 2021) and Vinay M Tonse (MD since November 2023).

SBI had reported its highest standalone quarterly internet revenue at Rs 20,698 crore within the fourth quarter of FY24 towards Rs 16,695 crore within the year-ago quarter.
As on March-end 2024, gross advances elevated by 15.24 per cent yoy to Rs 37,67,535 crore. Whole deposits rose 11.13 per cent to Rs 49,16,077 crore.
