The tie-up emerged from a landmark 350th contract that the Improvements for Defence Excellence (iDEX), the MoD’s flagship initiative, signed on Tuesday with SpacePixxel Applied sciences Pvt Ltd. The miniaturised satellite tv for pc could be able to carrying electro-optical, infrared, artificial aperture radar, and hyperspectral payloads , in line with a ministry assertion.
“This 350th iDEX contract allows innovation in house electronics, whereby many payloads earlier deployed on devoted massive satellites at the moment are being miniaturised. The modular small satellite tv for pc will combine a number of miniaturised payloads as per requirement, offering benefits like quicker and economical deployment, ease of producing, scalability, adaptability, and fewer environmental impression,” the ministry noticed.
The contract was exchanged between Extra Secretary (Defence Manufacturing) and Defence Innovation Organisation (DIO) CEO Anurag Bajpai and SpacePixxel Applied sciences founder and CEO Awais Ahmed Nadeem Alduri. Defence Secretary Giridhar Aramane and different senior civil and army officers of the ministry have been current on the event.
SpacePixxel has been working to construct and launch high-resolution hyperspectral imaging satellites to offer detailed earth commentary information.
