IISR’s Golden Milk Combine expertise baggage ICAR finest expertise award

The ICAR-Indian Institute of Spices Analysis has obtained the very best expertise award for its work in horticulture sciences. The institute obtained the awards through the 96^th ICAR Basis Day Celebrations held in New Delhi.

The expertise, titled ‘Course of for fast soluble turmeric enriched spice flavoured dairy milk powder’ has been acknowledged among the many high 5 applied sciences below Horticulture Sciences Division of the Indian Council of Agricultural Analysis.

E Jayashree, Principal Scientist and the lead developer of the expertise, obtained the award from the Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

The awarded expertise is exclusive for its capability to make an on the spot, totally soluble spice combine powder for getting ready turmeric flavoured milk. The water insolubility of turmeric was a problem historically, which by the expertise developed by IISR poses any problem to the diary sector anymore.

The expertise has already been commercialized with the Malabar Regional Co-operative Milk Producer’s Union Ltd Kozhikode again in 2020. At present two merchandise, Golden Milk and Golden Milk Combine is being produced and marketed below MILMA.

The staff behind the expertise consists of Okay. Anees, Rajeev P., E. Radha, and C. Okay. Thankamani, scientists from IISR, who contribute because the co-developers.
