The Costly Indian Election: BJP spends 55% share of expenditure on polls in ten years

he price of election expenditure has been steadily rising annually. In accordance with knowledge from the Affiliation for Democratic Reforms (ADR), between FY14 and FY23, the full expenditure on polls amounted to Rs 15,647 crore. Remarkably, the Bharatiya Janata Occasion (BJP) accounted for 55 per cent of this expenditure, adopted by the Indian Nationwide Congress (INC) and the Communist Occasion of India – Marxist (CPI-M) with 30 per cent and 6 per cent shares, respectively.
