erala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Friday formally welcomed Chinese language cargo vessel ‘San Fernando’ on the Vizhinjam worldwide sea port the place the ship had berthed a day in the past.The worldwide port is being developed by Adani Ports and Particular Financial Zone Ltd, (APSEZ), India’s largest port developer. The ‘San Fernando’ arrived on the newly-built port on Thursday, marking the primary container ship’s arrival at India’s largest deep-water trans-shipment port. Folks turned up in giant numbers to see the 300-metre-long mothership on the Vizhinjam Worldwide Seaport Restricted (VISL).
The port is being constructed underneath the public-private partnership mannequin. The overall funding for the Vizhinjam port is round Rs 8,867 crore. Out of this, the state authorities and the Central authorities have allotted Rs 5,595 crore and Rs 818 crore respectively.
